Mobile Phone Insurance is an inclusive benefit of your Additions Plus account. This gives you the peace-of-mind of knowing that your registered phone(s) and SIM card are covered worldwide for:

  • Loss
  • Theft
  • Accidental and malicious damage
  • Water and liquid damage
  • Electrical or mechanical breakdown
  • The cost of unauthorised calls up to £2,000 for monthly contract phones or £100 for Pay-as-you-Go phones, per claim

We’ll also cover accessories up to a combined retail price of £250 per claim.

How to make sure your phone is covered

To take advantage of this cover you will need to register your mobile phone details with Lifestyle Services Group Limited - they will be looking after this benefit for you on our behalf.

You can register your phone details 24 hours a day online or by calling 0845 300 3466* from 8.00am – 8.00pm, Monday – Friday, and 9.00am – 6.00pm, Saturday – Sunday.

You will need to have the following information to hand when registering:

-          Your name and address

-          The mobile phone number and whether it is on a Pay Monthly contract or Pay-as-you-Go

-          Your email address

-          Your qualifying account number and sort code

-          The phone’s make and model

-          The phone’s IMEI number – the easiest way to obtain this is by entering *#06# on the keypad and it will be displayed on screen

 

Important information about your Mobile Phone Insurance

 

  • Cover will commence 7 days after you register your mobile phone details. You will not be able to claim for incidents which occur within the 7 day period after you register
  • The cover applies worldwide and we will arrange the repair or replacement of your mobile phone when you return to the UK
  • You can register up to 1 mobile phone for a single account, and 2 mobile phones for a joint account for cover. Each phone must be owned by you or be your responsibility
  • You can make a maximum of two successful claims in any 12 month period
  • Successful claims will be subject to a policy excess. The excess varies depending on the mobile phone you claim for and how many claims you have made within a 12 month period. For the first claim, if it is for an Apple iPhone the excess is £75, and for all other handsets it is £25. For the second claim (made within a 12 month period), if it is for an Apple iPhone the excess is £100, and for all other handsets it is £50
  • All claims must be registered with Lifestyle Services Group within 48 hours of discovering the incident
  • For loss, theft and malicious damage claims, you must report the incident to the Police within 24 hours of discovering the incident and obtain a crime reference number. If the Police will not give you a loss report number, please note the location of the Police station and the badge number of the officer you spoke to

*0845 For BT residential customers, calls will cost no more than 4.5p per minute, plus 13.1p call set-up fee (current at December 2011). The price on non-BT phone lines may be different. Non-BT customers and mobile phone users should contact their service providers for information about the cost of calls. To maintain a quality service, we may monitor and record phone calls.
