Mobile Phone Insurance is an inclusive benefit of your
Barclays Current Account Plus package.
This provides your handset and SIM card with worldwide cover for:
- Loss
- Theft
- Accidental and malicious damage
- Water/liquid damage
- Electrical or mechanical breakdown
- Unauthorised calls up to £2,000 (including VAT) for contract mobile phones, or £100 (including VAT) for Pay As You Go handsets
Your policy also provides cover for any accessories, up to £250 per claim (including VAT), that were lost, stolen or damaged at the same time as your handset.

In order to take advantage of this benefit, you need to register your mobile phone details with Lifestyle Services Group Limited. A 21 day registration period applies.
Before registering, please ensure you have the following details to hand:
- Your Current Account Plus account number and sort code
- The make and model of your phone
- Your mobile phone number
- Your phone’s IMEI number (this will be displayed on
the phone’s screen when entering *#06# on the keypad)
- Your email address
Your cover will commence 21 days from the date of registration.

By calling the Current Account Plus helpline on 0800 328 6931*, and selecting the Mobile Phone Insurance option.

Once you’ve successfully completed the registration process, you will receive a Certificate of Insurance in the post shortly afterwards confirming your policy details.
The policy will be valid, subject to the policy terms and conditions, for as long as you are a Barclays Current Account Plus holder and whilst the account continues to offer this insurance.
