There have been reports in the press recently about the increasing problem of mobile phone theft in the UK. Last year, many thousands of phones were stolen but very few were recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
Naturally, here at Lifestyle Services Group Limited, we want to do what they can to try and prevent this worrying trend, so we support Immobilise. This is a joint campaign launched by the mobile phone industry and the Metropolitan Police - and it is supported by the Home Office.
In line with the Immobilise campaign, Lifestyle Services Group Limited works closely with the Police and the network operators to exchange lists of lost and stolen phones.
By identifying a phone’s unique serial number, Lifestyle Services Group Limited can prevent it from being used again.

Help protect yourself
Keep a record of your IMEI number and serial numbers
Your IMEI number is the unique serial number of your mobile phone. It is located on the phone’s packaging and inside the phone itself. It can also be found by keying in *#06# on your phone’s keypad. Once you have located your IMEI number, write it down and keep it safe.
It is also a good idea to make a note of the serial numbers belonging to your handheld electronic devices.
Think of your phone/handheld electronic device as you would your wallet or handbag
Keep your mobile phone/handheld electronic device with you at all times when you are out. Do not leave your phone/handheld electronic device unattended, for example, on a café table or bar top. Be aware of your surroundings and never invite risk to either yourself or your belongings.
Mark your phone and handheld electronic device(s)
If you mark your mobile phone/handheld electronic devices with a UV security pen, detailing your house number and postcode, your phone can be returned to you by the Police if it is recovered after loss or theft.
Set up your security PIN
You can store a PIN in your mobile phone. Once this number has been set, you will need to enter it each time you turn on your phone.
Please refer to your manufacturer’s handbook for instructions on setting your PIN.
Remember that you must key in a four-digit number that only you know, and that you won’t forget.
∞ If any lost or stolen equipment is recovered after the claim is approved; it shall become the property of Lifestyle Services Group Limited and must be returned to us immediately.
