Call centre on duty for Red Nose Day

21st March 2011

Lifestyle Services Group opened their Crewe call centre on Friday, March 18th to take donation calls to support Red Nose Day.  This is the third year in a row that Lifestyle Services Group have taken calls from the UK public to support this worthy cause.

Approximately 150 employees, friends and family members took 2,349 calls on the night totalling £86,633.53 for Comic Relief.

Opening the event, Business Development Director Andy Morris welcomed everyone to Lifestyle Services Group and thanked them for their time.   He said: "It is fantastic to see so many volunteering their time for a worthy cause and helping to raise as much money as possible."

Iain Cartwright, Employee Engagement Manager said: "As ever we open up the contact centre to friends, families, clients and suppliers so they can experience our environment and culture.

"Corporate responsibility is a fundamental part of life at Lifestyle Services Group and we believe it's important to support the external environment."

As well as taking calls, other employee fundraising activities included a space hopper challenge, cake sales and leg and chest waxing, all which helped to raise a further £1,041 for the worthy cause.

Iain added: "The contact centre was also busy in the day with teams organising their own fundraising activities as our people wanted to donate money as well as managing the donation calls. In summary, a tiring but rewarding night was experienced by everyone and left us looking forward to Sport Relief in 2012."

Commenting on the evening Andy Morris stated "It was a fantastic evening and it was great to see all the departments working together for such a worthy cause. A big thank you to everyone who contributed and gave of their time."
